Being avid fans of this talented Canadian born of Indian origin comedian, Russell Peters my friends and I decided to watch him perform live in o2 arena on 14th Feb. Yes, Valentine’s day and we were pathetic to be spending our time there. The show was good – I was amazed at the originality of his jokes. Having watching most of his jokes that are available on Youtube, it was impressive that 90% of his jokes were new and mostly spontaneous – as usual picking on audiences and as racist as ever! I guess that’s the pulling factor – the racist jokes! Admit it, we all like this type of comedy of strereotyping.
The show was good and the arena was packed – with mostly Indians! There you go – a racial grouping!!! Costed us GBP50 – is it worth that much? I would not say so, but then again at least it is taking off the guilt of watching his clips online for free all this while. And hopefully this justifies further online viewing…:)

I know what you mean I was there too with my friends and he was so funny. I have to say though I booked my tickets as soon as his presales came out last September so I was gutted to pay the ‘best seats’ for pretty much the back seats. I would have paid more to sit at the front to get picked on with my fiance who is Welsh/Polish and I’m Chinese but that’s my sadistic sense of humour that loves Russell Peters coming out. We both keep looking at each other when its quite and mouth in a terrible Russell-Indian-like style “I would totally date you!”
Wish he was doing more UK events… We all need a little cheering up in this current climate.
Anyone who hasn’t seen him yet please check him out, even the King of Jordan has bootlegged his show on youtube!!!

I booked it like >1 hour after the release and got seats at level 1. But I managed to swap seats with my friend and was seated on the floor area(row R). Pretty close up, but I still keep looking at the screen as his facial expressions were clearer there. My friends at the back wished we would have sat in front – because I was sitting with my chinese friend(not boyfriend) and I could guess the type of jokes he would make! Thank God for that. So when you said you wish you were at the front, did you really mean it or were you being sarcastic?

Easily one of my favorite comedians.
