I stumbled upon an article on BBC which said that about 38% of firms do not have women in the senior management companies in the UK. Japanese had an even lower figure of 25%. Countries with highest percentages were mostly Asian :
1. Philippines – 97%
2. China – 91%
3. Malaysia – 85%
4. Brazil – 83%
5. Hong Kong – 83%
I am quite delighted to see that Malaysian figure is 85%. However, be wary that these surveys can be skewed. Actually, what would be interesting is to have a survey to find out what percentage of companies that do not have men in their senior management…would it be zero???
